This research project investigates perceptions of students who participated in course projects in Winter 2026 as part of Dr. Latulipe’s COMP 7570 course on Aging & Technology. In this course, students participated in two group projects that involved community-based research with workshops held at the Pembina Active Living Centre (PAL55+). The purpose of this current study is to investigate the pedagogical value of those projects for the students who participated, and to understand the perspective of the facilitator at PAL55+. We want to understand what worked well and what didn’t work well in this projects, and then disseminate that information (through conferences or journals on CS education), so that other CS faculty can replicate or adapt the projects at their institutions.
